New openings, roof alterations and loft accommodation can raise questions that the architectural layout alone does not answer. We include structural calculations when completing the technical plans for your agreed design. Occasionally, a particularly complex design may need input from a structural engineer.

The agreed scope may address:

• Beams and Openings associated with internal alterations.
• Roof Changes forming part of a loft conversion.
• Supporting Calculations for the relevant structural elements.
• Coordination with the Drawings so both describe the same proposal.

During the measure-up, we check roof construction, try to establish floor joist directions and identify solid and load-bearing walls. This information informs the calculations and building control drawings.
